Guinness World Record for the largest videomapping ever
To celebrate its 20th anniversary, the largest private bank in Russia "Alfa Bank" has offered the city of Moscow a spectacular show signed David Atkins. It was also the occasion to celebrate the 864th Moscow City Anniversary.
800,000 people were expected against the Lomonosov University to see this amazing 30-minutes show which combined video projections, pyrotechnics and live performances.
David Atkins used ETC’s technical expertise to display 3D images on the 25 500 m² of this colossal monument, thus achieving a World Guinness Record for the largest 3D videomapping projection ever!

- A total of 81 high-power projectors, ranging from 20K to 35K lumens were used to cover all surfaces of this landmark:
- 5 x 25 K lumens video projectors were installed in front of the building to cover the top of the tower, while 10 video projectors (5 x 25 K lumens and 5 x 35 K lumens) were above the entrance to cast in images on the bottom of the tower.
- To cover the front of the building’s arms, 9 x 20 K lumens video projectors were installed on each side (18 in all).
- Two lots of 10 x 20 K lumens video projectors (20 in all) were used to project on the exterior of the buildingfrom the platform above the entrance.
- Return faces and sides of the central tower were imaged with 28 x 20 K lumens video projectors (14 on each side).
- ETC’s control software Onlyview was used to encoding, programming, inserting live video feeds... all synchronized with the soundtrack of the show.
- A team of 14 people worked tirelessly for over two weeks to install, program and manage t his technical challenge.
