Futuroscope theme park - Poitiers, France

The partnership between ETC and Futuroscope (France’s oldest theme park) began at the inception of the park and continues going strong to this day. From the installation of the first pavilion, Images Studio, in 1995, to more recent attractions like “The Future is Wild” in 2008, ETC accompanies the Futuroscope park and its technological innovations with constantly increasing levels of interactive solutions and ever-more sophisticated automation possibilities.

  • The Future is Wild. Scenographic installation of the entire complex (cabling, control, lighting and multimedia installations). Combining the technology of “enhanced reality” and a scenario about the evolution of species, visitors participate in an interactive safari and communicate with virtual 3D animals in their natural environments.
  • Dances with Robots. Installation of the audio-visual equipment and a show control system to operate this show-attraction. Visitors take a journey through an interactive exhibition exiting into a veritable dance experience between man and machine, with a dance routine created by celebrity choreographer, Kamel Ouali.
  • Images Studio pavilion. Futuroscope's first attraction realised by ETC in 1995, this space was revamped 10 years after its creation with the installation of an interactive video capture system. Visitors’ images are recorded and transmitted, embedded into virtual decors or integrated into computer generated imagery. ETC was responsible for the update of the equipment used in the complex's decor and the general control system.
  • Futuroscope Lake night-time spectacular. For the first show created at the Lake, ETC supplied, installed and programmed all of the PIGI projection equipment as well as the automation of the fountains and special effects (fireworks, flames, lasers, etc.) Renewed twice since the first installation, the night-time show's overall control system has been modified and updated by ETC.
