Shanghai World Expo: Paris Île-de-France Pavilion
It’s the very first time that Paris / Île-de-France has presented a pavilion at a World Expo. The pavilion is a showcase of the region’s innovations in terms of sustainable development, and carries the theme of “A river, a territory, a lifestyle.” The centrepiece of the Pavilion is a giant river (evoking the Seine) which traverses the building. The river is composed of a 4m wide by 80m long undulating ribbon with 2 loops reaching 6.40m high. This attraction is entirely realised using video projection, installed and implemented by ETC.
